Sqeezebox Hier findet ihr Informationen und Tools rund um den SlimServer. Meine Plugins erweitern die Funktionalität diese Musikplayers um ein paar interessante Funktionen und schalten bisher unzugängliche Optionen frei (NoSetup). Ab sofort sind die Plugins für die Version 6 des SlimServers ausgelegt.

Vous trouverez sur ce site des informations et outils pour le SlimServer. Mes plugins ajoutent des fonctions spécifiques pour la Suisse à ce balladeur. Dès suite les modules d'extensions sont optimisés pour l'utilisation avec SlimServer 6.0.

Here you will find my collection of plugins and scripts for the SlimServer. These will add new functionality to your music player and will help others translate it's user interface. The plugins are optimized for use with SlimServer 6.0.

SlimNAS - SqueezeCenter on FreeNAS

FreeNAS is an open source solution turning almost any PC hardware into a NAS storage server. It's small, easy to install, features many protocols used for file transfers (FTP, SMB, rsync etc.) and is therefore an obvious solution to build your dedicated SqueezeCenter machine.

SlimNAS is a drop-in extension which installs SqueezeCenter on FreeNAS.

Squeezebox/SliMP3 & NAD SR-5 Remote Control

DE: da meine Wohnstuben-Beschallung hautpsächlich noch aus einer Squeezebox2 und einem NAD-Verstärker besteht, bin ich froh, dass ich mit der NAD SR-5 Fernsteuerung auch die Squeezebox bedienen kann. Hier kannst du mein .ir File für den Slimserver herunterladen.

FR: voilà un modèle .ir pour Slimserver qui vous permet d'utiliser la télécommande NAD SR-5 avec votre Squeezebox/SliMP3.

Perl 5.8 on SME6 (and others, too)

The SME 6.x linux distribution is based on RedHat 7.3. It uses Perl 5.6.1, but SlimServer runs best with Perl 5.8.x. As SME 6.x administration is heavily based on lots of Perl scripts you wouldn't just update the existing Perl - it might break the server's functionality. Easily download and install a Perl 5.8.6 compiled for use with SME 6.x in a way which won't touch the existing system but allow you to run SlimServer using the advanced features of this latest version.

Deutschsprachiges SlimServer/Squeezebox Forum

Von mir initiiert, aber nicht wirklich meine Leistung: SlimDevices stellt ein deutschsprachiges Forum rund um den SlimServer und die Squeezebox zur Verfügung. Ihr könnt euch auch auf die entsprechende Mailingliste einschreiben (Details gibt's hier), falls ihr Mails dem Web-Forum vorzieht. Die Nachrichten werden jeweils auf dem anderen Medium auch wiedergegeben.

Bitte zieht dieses Forum einer privaten Mail an mich vor, da häufig die selben Fragen wiederholt gestellt werden. Sind sie einmal im Forum publiziert, findet sie ein nächster vielleicht, bevor er selber schreiben muss.
